to your blog-question, have you checked at hair product supply shops, or even thrift shops for a "head"? maybe even a local salon or beauty school could help you? I have no idea really, just throwing out some thoughts. hope they help

I like the hat! I have a styrofoam head and I know I paid under $5 at Sally's Beauty Supply. They do have the more life-like ones but I know they were quite a bit more.
