Old Fashioned Teddy Bear

Recommended Posts

I love the old fashioned look! Thank you so much for thinking of us here at CV and providing the pattern for free! He looks so cute in both the "real" color and pastel. I don't know which I'd rather make! Thanks again!

Love your bear! He (she!?) is so well proportioned -- many crocheted bears don't seem to look realistic to me, but yours is the best I've seen!

Question: The one thing I don't do well is sew body parts to crocheted animals. Am currently working on a bunny and could use some tips. Do you have a specific technique for attaching the head, arms and legs so that they not only are secure, but the stitching doesn't show, or if it does, it's very neat and even? I sure could use a blog or video tutorial on this. Anyone aware of one?

I put a quick tutorial on my blog for attaching the head. I can put another one up on how to do the arms and legs, but won't be for a week as I am going out of town.
