Well, I only have Michaels and Walmart here....and I can't find ANY PURPLE BEADS!!!!! So I don't know if we have a good source here...I would say NO!!! Maybe in a bigger center. But to say that beading is so popular right now you would think that more stores would incorporate this trend. Guess I will have to shop online.

I buy most of my beads at Shipwreck beads http://www.shipwreck.com/. Either on line and because I do happen to live within driving distance, at the actual store. That is bead heaven. But I also get some of my beads from http://www.millhillbeads.com/index4.html they have a good selection and fair prices and no minimum which is important to some of you. I have heard good things about Fire mountain beads but have never ordered from them so can't say definitely whether they are or not.

I normally buy by the half kilo or full kilo as I use a lot of beads. But for smaller projects I buy by the hank. For some accent colors that I wont ever use a lot of I buy by the grams.

You can get a limited amount of beads at Micheals or Joannes. I get some of my Larger sizes there and some of my findings. I also have a store called Artco that I get some of my beads from. But generally I have to go on line for a good seed bead selection. I have never shopped Walmart so again can't say.

A lot is going to depend on what your bead needs are.

Dear Kathy, You can buy very nice cheap beads and other craft items at Boleks Craft supply in all colors shapes and sizes. They have a mail order catalog google Boleks Craft Supply on the internet for their online catalog. I have one and I love it. Michelle:)

I went and looked at their site. Can you tell me what size the rochallies beads are, it doesn't say. That would be helpful to know. I must be missing something. They seem to have a okay selection of some basic colors, but They really should list the size of the beads. Thank you for the information. I am always looking for good sources of beads as I do use a lot of them.

They also apparently made some changes to their website so that the link you provided above doesn't work. Here is the updated link: http://www.millhillbeads.com/index2.php

With all these excellent new online sources, I am soooo in trouble now! :eek:c9:hook
