Star Rug

I used the Granny Star Afghan pattern to get rid of all my random balls of worsted weight yarn and make a rug for the kids' playroom. I'm going to do a row of yellow and one of red and then I'll be done. It's about three feet across at the largest.

 

I love love love this pattern! It was so easy and turned out so beautifully and I think it's just perfect as a fun funky one-of-a-kind rug. I'm definitely going to have to make this one again.

Nothing. It goes on carpet. But if it gives us any trouble on the carpet, I'm going to put puff paint on the back to give it some grip.

Herreschners catalog has a squeeze on called Regla ABS Latex and you can buy stencils to put on the bottoms of slippers, rugs, etc that is supposed to be awesome.

This is really a great looking rug. I love mixing scraps to make something beautiful. You did a fine job.
