Verigated Yarn Baby Blanket Pattern Needed

Help!!! I was asked to make a baby blanket by a co-worker who bought a verigated yarn in the colors of the baby's room.

 

Does anyone have a simple but pretty pattern that goes well with verigated yarn? Some of the patterns I use really don't do well with the verigated look. Please make them simple

A Star blankie using the variegated comes out nicely too..once you start the pattern it goes very fast and you can make any size

I would seriously have her pick up a couple solid colors from the vari to set it off.

 

The problem with doing an entire ghan in vari is that the color pattern does not stay the same. At some point it get's kinda weird looking.

 

A round ripple or a granny sq or rect look really good with vari too.

I make the Baby Bubbles w/ 1 strand solid, & 1 strand verigated. It always works up pretty, & fast. I also make it larger than the pattern calls for, more of a toddler size.
