Does anyone else remember Ham-ghans?

I was just wondering if anyone else remembers Ham-ghans? I think it stood for Half Mile-a-minute and they were worked across the afghan rather than up and down.

 

I remember several pictures and possibly some patterns too. They were so pretty. I can't find them anywhere and I'm not sure if I have any info on them printed up or not.

 

They were on the internet around 2002, or 2003, I think.

 

If anyone has info, pics or patterns or even if you just remember them, I'd love to know.

no, sorry, never heard of them, i immediately thought of ham and scalloped potatoes though, he he he....would be interested in a pic though, if anyone finds them!

I remember reading a few of those patterns. Actually, you can do just about any stitch you want using the technique. You leave a goodly tail when you attach your yarn to start a colour/ row and leave a tail at the end.

Link worked fine for me. I've never heard of these before but I printed out the pattern to try sometime!
