Scarves made for the swap

Here are the scarves I made for the scarf swap. The first is made in Homespun, a 9mm hook and a simple hdc stitch. It came out so soft and snuggly, I think I may have found a new favorite yarn. The second is my first attempt at cabling. I couldn't find a pattern that I really liked so I just made up my own. I used Bernat softee chunky and a 9mm hook.

Thanks for looking.

Both your scarves came out beautiful !! Both yarns are very nice to work with too. I have "knit" a lot of scarves and shawls with the Homespun yarn. I'm too afraid to try to crochet with the Homespun yarn, because of the fuzziness of the yarn, I'm afraid I'll loose some stitches!!:lol :lol

Thank you :manyheart

Crochet cabling looks difficult but it is very very easy. The Homespun scarf "resisted" going into the box for my partner:blush:lol

I'm glad it made it into the box - I've been wearing it everyday!! LOL!
