Hi All

I am visiting the site looking for some help please.

My daughter put her Hamster cage too close to my crochet bedskirt and a chunk of it became a midnight snack for the lil beastling.

It is about 3" wide and 2" tall and is very obvious.

I don't know how to crochet (though I have a house full of lace items that my grandmother made)

This is made of the ecru cotton crochet thread. Does anyone know of a repair service that I can send this piece to?

I (hopefully) attached photos.. one is of the damaged area, the other undamaged for stitch details.

thanks!!!

If you have a yarn or craft store nearby, you could try asking the manager if they know anyone who could fix it. If not, You might try placing an ad in the local paper. My dog just ate the collar off a crocheted sweater. So I know how you feel!

I also agree with the earlier post to take some thread or yarn and thread it through the stiches above the eaten part to keep it from unravelling more.

Oh! Hamster Stew is on the menu. :lol j/k Must be cotton or it wouldn't taste good. I vote for taking it to a local yarn shop (not the bigger chains but the independently owned ones) and asking if they know of anyone that could fix it. Be sure to sew above it so it doesn't unravel more in your travels. Very pretty! I see popcorns, double crochet, chains, and picots I think.
