2009 12 in Squares

Over at craftsters I joined the 2009 12 in square along. I made 2 squares one from the craftster's square and one from the raverly square. I am hoping to make one big afghan in the end.

These are two of the 3 maybe 4 colors I will be using, the other colors will be a darker brown and maybe if I have something to match a blue. I will not buy new yarn my stash is huge and needs used up.

Thank you for the pictures and links. I have been looking for a new long term project that I can do in small spaces of time and hadn't even thought of a 12" square afghan, so now I have my next big project. Thanks

I just finished a mandala square and I think it's a great pattern. .

You know, I started that, too, but I had trouble with round 4 of the mandala square, since I kept winding up with 1 more ch-4 space to end the round than the pattern specified. Yours looks great, and I want to try it again, but I frogged the darn thing something like 5 times because I get making the same mistake. Any advice? patty
