Lady Bug Sleepers-English

Pattern created and crocheted by Isabel Salgueiro aka ZzabeLinha

English version 15/10/08

 

 

Skill Level: easy

Materials:Recycled Yarn*-300gr red ,500 gr black

Crochet hook nº 7,

A tapestry needle

2 Felt lady bugs

Gauge: 5 sts x 4 rows = 10cm

Size:Approx 8,5 ladies size

Method:chain 10 with black yarn.

Round 1:1chain as first sc,2 sc in next chain(increase),work in sc until last chain

2 sc in same chain(increase),continue in round,1 sleep stitch in the end.

Rounds 2-4 :repeat round 1.FO.

**From were slipper is worked in rows,not rounds.

Row 1:restart working with red yarn from the middle of the last round. 1ch as first sc,17 sc.Turn.

Row2-4:repeat row 1.FO.

Sew the last red round to do the top of the sleeper.

Finishing:Star a last round with black yarn,around the heel in slip stitch. Weave and lace the yarn to embellish the sleep.

Sew the lady bug with transparent yarn. Make another sleeper.

 

 

*Note:Recycled yarn is obtain cutting old clothes or wasted material from textile industries

these are soo great! I love ladybugs, so I suppose I have something to make as a Christmas gift for myself8)

But first, I have some questions - when you make recycled yarn, how exactly do you do it? How wide are the stripes of clothes? what type of clothes should it be?

And another about the size - could you please write, how long they are (in cm if possible), because there are so many alternative feet size measurements...

Very cute! I would like to know how you cut the fabric. How wide were the fabric strips and did you cut on the bias? Thank you very much for the pattern.:ty
