Is there a secret place hooks go when they get lost?

I had one migrate to...not under the pillow...but inside the pillowcase! I have no idea how it got there! Silly little thing.

Mine generally migrate to the sofa cushions, along with my sewing scissors I use when I cross stitch. I think they're afraid of being overworked.

Under the linings of handbags and suitcases.

In the middle of a skein of yarn.

In toiletry/make-up bags.

Somewhere in WIP bags.

and my all-time best: wrapped invisibly and tucked in a drawer of a dresser I don't use.

My mom's cat knocked my hook case off the coffee table. I was when I heard the rattle of hooks and saw Misty "stirring" them around on the carpet. I think she liked the sound, because she kept pushing them together . When I finally got her to stop, and go away, I was short 2 hooks (only 1 was returned later). The worst place I've found one, in my chair. I sat on a doily hook, still have a small scar in my thigh .

tucked behind my ear... Once I had to get up to find my bag o' stuffing, and it fell out, by the corner where the bag was...I didn't notice till I sat down, and I searched all over my seat, shook out my hair...finally walked to that corner...there it was. blegh
