My first felted project...

I finally finished my felted tote.

 

I used Patons Merino Wool and modified this pattern

I used denim buttons to crimp the sides and also to attach the handles.

That is a beautiful bag, and the colors remind me of pictures of the Northern Lights. Watch out now, felting is addictive.

I love it!!! I just finished crocheting a felted bag but haven't assembled yet or felted. I'm excited now...think I may have to try and finish it today so that I can get it in the wash!! Thanks for sharing.

I took the bag to my family Easter dinner yesterday. My sister's and SIL's loved it. As a matter of fact I gave it to one of my SIL's and took orders from the rest to make more.

 

Everyone loved the denim buttons, they thought it made the bag look no so homemade.

It's REALLY cute! I adore the colors!! I wish you were MY SIL LOL!!

 

I'm seriously thinking about going to the little yarn store down the way and getting me some wool. Better yet, maybe I'll go to the thrift stores and buy used sweaters! RECYCLE!!! (And I can afford that more LOL)
