Looking for Easy pineapple square

I don't know if there is such a beast. But I have seen some lovely blankets made with the pineapple square and would love to give them a try,

Mary, I bet you could take a simple pineapple square doily pattern and work it up in yarn... have you checked for a pattern like that?

I just made the panda pineapple square that Jess recommended - and I can tell you that even at 2 AM, freaking out over my upcoming dentist appt, I was able to make that one with very little difficulty. Looks nice, too.

i have worked the one fran suggested.. turns out very nice.. and its fairly easy to follow..

I'm working that one too, it is really easy. I'm almost done with my 'ghan, one more square on the row I'm working on then one more row of 4 squares and I'm done.
