Half Moon Shawl question...

Now, I LOVE the look, I also love shawls and have two zillion too many going.........BUT, I wanna know, to all who made the Half moon shawl, Would it fit a PLUS sized gal? And is it possible to make just a bit longer than it looks in the pics?

Once you get into the pattern of the shawl it is easy enough to just keep going until it is as long in the length and width as you want.

I tried it and it seemed snug, so I ripped it out. I decided I prefer something more angular, too.

I like a longer shawl, so I just kept going in pattern for a few more rows, no problem at all. Looks fine to me.

I made it and didn't check my gauge. Well, now that it's done, the whole family can wear it at the same time for some great family togetherness lol!

Yes, - I am a little wide and it wraps around me fine. I also used a medium sized hook so if you used a larger one, it would end up being a little looser. To make it longer, just add more rows - the repeating set of 5 of them (the ones with the spaces and then the repearting Row 8 - I think - should add to the length and the width with no problem.

There are several half moon shawls, just make the longer one. I'm halfway through making the medium one as I just want it for my shoulders but I'm using a double strand so it will be fairly large. Zaraliz
