Rustproof Pins

Where can I purchase rustproof pins for pinning doilies into shape? I checked at Wal Mart this morning, but all they had were several different brands and sizes of nickel-plated steel pins....and one type of brass pins. The nickel-plated pins will rust. Will the brass pins work?

I have been using the nickel plated pins for years with no problems. Never had one rust yet.

It was the old steel pins that used to rust.

Really? Well, that's odd, because I used those and got the tiniest dots of rust on my doily. It's not noticeable from a normal doily viewing distance though. I just don't want it to happen again.

I had the same thing happen. I'm wondering if the pins get scratched and the plating comes off...I bought some new ones and keep them separate from my sewing pins, so far no problem...

I don't use my doily pins for anything else. I have seperate pins for sewing.

I really have never had a problem and we all know I pin out lots of doilies.

If you buy a good quality quilting pins at a fabric store they will not rust.

I've been using the T-pins I use for blocking my knitting / crochet. No problems. Yet.

Look for stainless steel pins.They say rustproof.

You can probably find them at wal mart, definitely at JoAnns
