Grand daughters blue jeans

She tore a big place on the back side of them that was right on the pocket seam. I didn't see how I was going to patch them for her. They are her favorite ones.

 

So today I crocheted on one side and did 3 rows of single crochet and then used a big needle and sewed it on to the other side with the pocket.I used sugar and cream mixed blue. She loved them. She is 24 years old.

That's such a great idea! I had crocheted a pink lace cuff onto the bottom of my daughter's jeans. They still fit her around the waist, but they were too short. It worked out good until she outgrew them.

Crochet Mama, those jeans sound like a good candidate to be made into capris if you just hem them and re-do the trim!

I've done similar things to my daughter's jeans. She is a size 10 waist with size 14 legs, so I have added fabric to the bottom and then embellished along the seam with fun fur, to make it seem intentional. Finally found some pants through Old Navy that have adjustable waists, so I can probably stop having to add fabric to all of her jeans every 2-3 months. What a growing weed!!! LOL

I never thought of that! My two year old has a little waist and she has several pairs of pants that are too short but still fit. I really like the capri idea with a crochet trim on the bottom. Great! Another WIM!

My neice is 6 and has long skinny legs, thank God for capri's! They grow so fast, at least that was you can get a little more wear out of them.
