Forget the pillow, make a blanket

In my weekly journey through the New Patterns at CPC I discovered this pattern for a filet pillow cover. Now many of us are not up to working with thread and if we love filet, we just know that we are making blankies instead.

 

I think this pattern would make a wonderful, summery blanket if done in ww yarn instead.

 

I generally count on getting something 4 times as large so this would be about 72 X 72 although you could stop at a dividing line if you don't want it that wide.

 

So what do y'all think? Is this a blankie possibility or what

I'm not very experienced at filet, only having done 1 so far, lol, but I think it's beautiful and would make a lovely blanket!

It would make a beautiful blankie. And if you're making a "summery blanket," how about a beautiful color like yellow or sky blue or leaf green, depending on your color scheme?

SURE:yes! That would make a cute:tup blanket, I would also do it much wider and not as many rows to get a really pretty stole for the summer months....just a thought!
