Here's the little blurb I've written about the blanket:

With three different rows, this pattern will give you a tad more variety

while still preserving the simple mechanics and appearance of granny

blankets in the round.

The center of the blanket starts as a circle for added interest. It is

recommended that the magic loop technique be used for this starting round.

Stitch wise, half double crochet is used throughout to reduce stitch gaps

and each row alternates with either two or three hdc shells.

One of the most important changes is a ghost row of stitches without

intermittent chain spaces or skipped stitches. This row stabilizes the

structure of the blanket and helps to prevent warping and stretching of

the corners. To make this row blend in, the following row is done in

between the stitches to mimic a granny style.

If this ghost row of straight hdc stitches isn’t for you and prefer all rows

to be executed in the same classic granny square format scroll down for

the alternate version.

There are two versions for this blanket. Version A has the ghost row and

you will need to know how to crochet in between sts. You can see the

ghost row in the second picture in the bright pink row (not in the border).

Version B (see picture below) is strictly granny square format. The border

is a little tricky since you chain a few stitches and then crochet into the

back of these chains. Please be comfortable with this (or be willing to

try).

The actual piece to crochet for testing will only be 11 rnds. It will look like

this:

I'd like this to be tested within seven days (by December 5th). Please

indicate in your post whether you would like to test version A or B. I will

PM the pattern to the first four to post, two for each version.

Well, I'm almost done with my first attempt at this pattern, I hope to get it finished tonight, however my cats have decided that there will be no more crocheting at this time, so we'll see how it goes later.....:lol

Ok, here's my test....I messed up the color scheme, so I started another one, and then I messed up the color scheme on that one too :lol. I'm having problems remembering what I used as A, B, and MC.......oh well, I love the pattern and it works up easy enough....one of these days I'll have to make a whole blanket out of it.
