WWYD? ran out of yarn, wait for more or frog & use another?

So I'm working on my ripple blanket that I've been stressing about getting done. I put in almost 2 hours today and ran out of yarn about a foot from the end of the blanket.

 

I called all our local stores and no one carries that color, so running out tomorrow and getting it isn't an option.

 

 

I can't decide whether I should rip out 2 hours of work and use a differnt color while I wait for more in the mail, or just leave it, order it and lose about 5 days of time I could have worked on it.

I would wait for the yarn but then I have a few WIPs laying around that I could work on while waiting.

 

Actually, I could work on WIPs for 50 days never mind 5 days and not even notice.

Find a coordinating color and continue on for 6 inches. Start another afghan work for six inches. Join to the beginning of the first blanket. There you go, it was done that way on purpose almost!

I would wait for the yarn...too much work went into it to stop now!!

post here and see if anyone has what you need in their stash. that's the only way I was able to finish one of my ghans. These wonderful ladies always come thru.

I would try RoseRed's suggestion first, then if no results, Idyer's advice is your best bet, and the least amount of work.

 

What is the yarn you need?

The yarn is Bernat Satin in Sterling, I have no problem ordering it, I just didn't want to wait to work on it while it gets here. Oh well. This thing has taken me this long already, guess a few more days isn't going to kill me (totally anyway)

I would wait, you've worked so hard and there is so MUCH other crocheting you could do in 5 days!

Depends on how bad you want to work on it now.

I've done both, rip things out and wait to get the yarn.
