Baby Pompadour yarn

Recommended Posts

Has anyone heard of it and/or worked with it? was wondering if it was easy to work with and how expensive it is. I am pregnant and want to make my baby (or babies):blush teddy bears out of it.So any help and/or advice would be helpful.

Thank you

I have some Lion yarn that's pompadour, it's called Jamie. It's kinda stretchy, and I'd say about a sport weight. It has a little twist around the yarn. Not all pompadour is RH, thankfully. ;)

Here's the RH one, if you see it at a LYS you can "pet" it to see what you think for yourself.

Baby soft yarn pictured about is super soft. It's also a size 3 on the yarn thickness scale.

Pompadour baby yarn is usually a size 2 and sometimes can have the shiny part in it. I have used it and it softens up in the dryer.

Nowdays they have some many choices. I would really recommend the one I provided a link for.

I think they no longer make the Jamie pompadour, although Smiley's usually has some for sale. It is very thin, so any fine yarn should work in place of it. And yes, be a little softer. The Jamie is stiff compared to other baby yarns. Patty

You're right, Jamie is discontinued. I was in a hurry when I posted that. :haha
