Yarn Prices!!!

I just went on line to buy a skein or two of Lion brand Magic stripes. $7.50 a skein!!!! ???? !!!!

I have never paid that much for a skein of yarn. But, I guess with a half off couplon I'll have to get it since it's wanted for a custom slipper order. Does anyone know of any Magic stripes for less then $6?

i know my micheals has moda dea sassy stripes on clearance for 3 dollars..

And the Michaels near me has DenimStyle on sale for $2 a skein.

My Michaels has the Moda Dea Sassy Stripes for $4.00 a skein. AC Moore has the Lion Brand Magic Stripes $5.99 a ball.

 

I love the Moda Dea Sassy Stripes, nice stuff. I never tried the Lion Brand. Knit Picks may have self-striping yarn. Do a google search for it too.

Knitting-Warehouse has Magic Stripes for $5.93. Sassy Stripes has 164 yds (for $3.71) while Magic Stripes has 330 yards.

[Also note that the Moda Dea Sassy Stripes is 100% acrylic whereas the LB Magic Stripes is 75% wool, 25% nylon.]
