so i got 2 done last night.. and i think that is pretty good.. considering the good luck i had on the first one.. my black yarn i realized is a slightly different texture and a little thicker than the other two .. its not TLC.. i wasnt paying too close attention when i grabbed it ... LOL i was just happy there was enough .. its wintuck .. a slightly thicker so i had to adjust hook and number of stiches on the second square but that only took me two tries.. i swear i am gonna be a pro when i am finished LOL....

I'm new to both this board and to the Crochet Along (I'll be adding my registration to Crochet Along site tomorrow, when I have pictures up). I'm sure this has been discussed in the past 30 pages somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. Square #6, the Trinity Stitch, just completely defies my attempts to understand it. I'm a beginner, so can anyone explain this stitch in plain English? I don't think that this violates any copywrite protection, but if it does, I guess that I'll just keep trying until I get it. :)

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi, Leigha! Welcome! :welcome Glad you're joining us! I've added you to the list.

Nope, discussing how to do a stitch doesn't violate copyright, because stitches themselves can't be copyrighted. There's a post about the trinity stitch somewhere. Let me see if I can find it. :thinking1

Edit - Okay, here is the post about the trinity stitch: p084.ezboard.com/fcrochetvillefrm32.showMessage?topicID=4.topic&index=418. Hope that helps! Let us know if it doesn't.

Thank you everyone sooo much! :))

I just loved making those squares. I don't mind making more! I sure learned a lot from the squares.

I've started joining the squares, and it is going faster than I thought it would. My goal is to finish this afghan by next week. I think I can because it is really hard to stop working on it now coming so close to completion. :D

:cheer2 :cheer2 :cheer2 to everyone!

Chie, heading over to see! Yippee!! :woohoo

Beth, when you join the squares, they will be square. Each one will help pull it's neighbor into the proper position. There are a few squares when you get to them that are truly out of shape, and I'm eager to join them too.

Thank you all! :D! I feel just great! I love how it turned out. :) I know you all are making it with different colors, I am looking forward to see many variations. Believe me, when you see yours completed, it will look all better in person than the one on the cover of the leaflet. ;)

Beth, I'd say the same as Julie about the squares. If you see the pics of my squares, you will find that not all mines are precise square, but the afghan came out alright. One thing I think you should be careful though, is that if the square, that is going to be a corner of the afghan, is lacy and floppy, you might wanna switch it to other tighter(I am not sure that's the right word, but I think you all can guess what I wanna say here) square.

Chie

Your afghan is SO beautiful . I had intentions several weeks ago to start this afghan, but got sidetracked by some other projects . You have gotten me on track again . Thanks for being such an inspiration !

Julie :)h
