I have the best FIL!

In February my FIL asked me to make him a chair cover for his computer chair. The chair is comfortable, but he doesn't like the way it looks. Naturally, if my FIL asks for it, the answer is yes! I made a granny type ripple in neutral colors, wasn't totally happy with the corners, but overall was a functional piece. I gave it to him a week ago, he was happy and I forgot about it. Thursday night he stopped by and gave me a check for $150 for it! He would not take the check back even though I told him it was way too much. Said he'd been checking the cost of hand made blankets (I made it to fit a twin bed just in case he wanted to use it on the guest bed too) and that was about 1/2 what he would have had to pay for a similar quality item!

 

Naturally I spent a few hours at JoAnn's and HL yesterday

He is very sweet. He appreciated what you made which in itself would of put me over the top. So many times I spend hours working on a gift to have it unappreciated. It usually hurts my feelings.

Yep FILs are the greatest!! Yours is certainly a keeper and I wouldn't trade mine for anything
