Are the flowers worked in a single square or are they sewn on? I was thinking about this rug acouple months ago...this would match my daughter's room theme. I never looked closely at the pattern to tell. Although, I would probably hang it on the wall or be crazy enough to lamanate it so it would get stepped on! I know how you feel!

There are 12 squares with specific colour combinations ( detailed instructions in the pattern ). The squares are then sewn together and given an edging in the main colour selected.

 

Looking at the picture of my rug again now , I wish I'd done some things differently and finished the rug with some more patience.
