Sleeper Slippers!

I don't know... am I the only one whose feet get freezing cold in the winter while sleeping? I am in my family. Even with socks my feet get cold. I've been known to wear my rubber-soled Acorn slippers to bed on more than one occasion. This year, I thought SLEEPER SLIPPERS would be the answer, so I proceeded to make myself a couple pair of really warm wool slippers (both made with double strands of WW wool).

These should do the trick! Debbie

Here's one pair on and off my feet:

And the other pair on and off my feet:

Ooooh, those do look cozy!

I tend to have "toes must be free" syndrome in bed, but your slipper socks look delightful out of the sheets too I bet. Nicely done! Best part of a craft like crochet is being able to make stuff for yourself you can't get, eh?

Those look so nice and warm! :c9 I am the same as you, even with socks sometimes my feet are freezing. It has to be a blistering hot day out for me to not have socks on. I used to wear them (socks) with sandals until my kids started saying stuff about it... :blush

The pink and purple slippers were loosely based on this pattern,

http://www.******/crochet/slisoc.html

I adjusted the number of rows to fit my feet, and worked through both loops rather than the back loops only. Oh, and made the cuff longer.

The blue and white pair came from Dot's site, but were basically rectangles the length and width of my foot with stitches worked in back loops only for the ridged effect. Then the toe was gathered shut and the vamp was stitched, as well as the heel. Then I just added rows of sc around the foot opening for a longer cuff (making decreases as needed to make it a bit more fitted).

They're both tailored/patterned to fit my feet exactly.
