Jessi's Pink Shrug

First off, thanks to my FG in Sydney for the lovely pink cotton she sent. She requested I make something for Jessi with it, so here it is!!

Crocheted in Panda Regal 4ply cotton and a 4mm hook I made a chain as long as her arms then used the stitch pattern in the Fall Crochet Today; Cardi Wrap - John Brinegar pg90.

 

Well, my chain must have been pretty loose as it became a short sleeved shrug rather than a long sleeved one!! The frilly edging it "sc in next stitch ch3" and repeat in each stitch around. There is no shaping to this shrug, it is a rectangle with 2 ends sewn together somewhat. The amount sewn was guessed as Jessi was sleeping over her nannas. I finished the edging today and was just too happy with it to not show it off!!

 

PS. I should add this only used ONE 50g ball of cotton!! so about $4!! sweet as!!

It looks beautiful, Jessi is a very pretty little girl and she looks lovely in her shrug. I like the stitch pattern you used, too!
