I am learning irish crichet now. In those old vintage pattern, they used very thin thread like no.100 or No.70. The thinnest thread I can find at Joann is No 30. Could someone tell me where can I buy those thin threads?

I am going to give you two sites to buy that sort of thread. Both are good sites. Lacis http://www.lacis.com/ and Handy Hands tatting http://www.hhtatting.com/ You can get the smaller size threads at either place. I get all my thread for my Irish crochet work from either of these places.

Welcome to the world of Irish Crochet. It's a beautiful art form.

I must agree with Katchkan. Handy Hands is a wonderful site. If you request a catalog, you will receive it almost immediately (with a few delightful extra's too). ;)

Also! Since you are into Irish Crochet...check this out (if you don't already know about it).

This place is a treasure-trove of Irish Crochet patterns. :c9 Click on Booklist. Those which are listed in the very light grey have not yet been scanned. You can easily tell which ones are downloadable (is that a word? :think.

Have fun with this!
