I'm a Square!

These are my first few in crochet:

 

This is my frist Granny Square

 

And this flower square was the first time I followed a stich pattern

Good for you,,,you are on your way to make a blanket now. You can either make a bunch of squares or take one square and keep crocheting around it until it is afghan size....
