Can you use Snap fasteners with Crochet

I personally have not, and probably wouldn't, for something a person would wear.  For doll clothes I could see using snap tape, or making your own snap tape (snaps sewn to a fabric seam tape), along the line of this product below.  Edited to add: my reasoning is that the sturdier woven snap tape would take some of the 'stress' off the flimsier, fluffier yarn.

For a clothing item for someone who can handle buttons*, buttonholes are super easy to make in crochet, and we can talk you thru that.

*I'm thinking someone with arthritis for example.
