18M to 2T Swing Top

A co-worker has a little girl who wears about 18 months and 2T clothes I decided to whip up a swing-top to for something to do cuz I am bored again....

This was a purchase pattern however the pattern comes in various sizes 6M to 4T which I thought was a very good deal since I like to work with various ages ranges.....

The buttons I bought years ago when my daughter was little as in still in preschool from the Oriental Trading Company and today was the first time I got to use them. I bought a big bag of multicolored hearts buttons back then and thought I would use them for something for her back then when I was still sewing her cute little outfits... but decided to wait 24 years to use them...

I also got to try out some new yarn Lion Brand Comfy yarn.. that I picked up at Walmart $5.99.. Wow this yarn was awesome super soft and very easy to work with and the best part cotton and polyester blend... here's a link to the yarn I worked with....

Adorable top, and thanks for noting the yarn, I like that sort of variegated (or looong gradual gradients) better than those that have usually odd pooling or abrupt changes that are more common.

Cute swing top and I've not seen anything like this before. Very adorable and I bet it's real cute on the baby too.

That is so cute.  I can just see the little one turning in circles to make the top swing out.
