Hi, everyone! I'm new here at Crochetville but I've been crocheting off and on for about 11 or 12 years now. Seems more off than on most days. I'm from Texas but the Army uprooted us so I currently reside in North Carolina. I've got a Siberian husky and a 19 month old daughter that makes it real interesting to try to crochet without getting fingers or claws snagged on my yarn. Or dog fur in the stitches (and once it's stitched in there, good luck getting it out)! For me, crochet (and I'm even teaching myself to knit a little) is just something to do with my hands to keep my anxiety at bay. It's my relaxation! I'm actually finally starting to venture away from "basic" patterns like scarves, granny squares, and hats. I'm trying to expand my abilities and get a bunch of finished products so I can open an Etsy shop when my daughter hits pre-school (thank goodness that's still a little ways away).
