Ballet slippers

My first pair of crocheted slippers. Will be adding to them by adorning them with a flower, just experimenting how to make different kinds of flowers first! 

 

 

I adapted the original pattern to make a smaller size and I didn't quite get the dimensions right so they're a little low around the foot, but now that I've got the hang of it that's easily solved. 

 

Quick to make and really easy even for a beginner like me!

Been trying out a few different flower styles, I think this one with a button over the centre will look nice

Half way through (ie one slipper made!) my next pair for another friend. Didn't bother with the original pattern this time, just made one up as I went along and this time used a single strand of DK yarn, single crochet and a 5mm hook. Really pleased with these ones, feel as though it shows how my skills are progressing which is nice. 

 

Also love the James C Brett yarn, makes them really comfy and the colours are gorgeous, the picture doesn't do them justice.
