Here are 2 ponchos I made for my neice. She is 2 1/2 and I've already made two of these for her. My sister loves them. Katie will get these two for christmas and matching turtlenecks.

 

Everyone has done different things for the tie...but I did one with DC corkscrew and one with an SC corkscrew.

 

The bright one is done in red heart kids-crayola. And the other is simply soft paisley

They are very cute. I'll bet she will look like a doll baby in them.

Very pretty! Nice and colorful! When I showed my oldest ds (7 yrs) the poncho I made, he said all the girls in school are wearing them this year. So your niece will definately be stylin!

nah-- they're huge. My sister wants her to fit in them for a long time...so they've each got like 10 or 12 rounds of the double vstitch. I just took them reallly far away so I could show both at the same time! They should come down well past her elbows.
