Wished I had someone around to model the hat, but there's no one around to do that for me. It's called Star Hat. The pattern can be found here:

The original is made using Classic Elite alpaca. I bought one ball each of 2 colors and tried numerous times to make it, but couldn't get the gauge to turn out. I set the pattern aside for a few weeks and then decided to try a different fiber. I ended up using size 3 thread and had to take the hook size down a bit too. Here's the finished beret.

Thanks for all of the very nice compliments. I can hardly wait to get started on another tote, but I've promised myself to finish the 2 projects I already have going.

 

Making tapestry bags is definitely my favorite thing to work on :D
