For the purse, I altered a pattern that I found online.

The way I altered it was instead of a beg ch of 51, I did a ch 30 and used an I hook. Then followed the pattern through. After the last round of sc, I did a round of (ch 4, sk st, *dc in next st, ch 1, sk st, repeat from * around) then did a round of sc in the top of each dc and in each ch 1 sp. Finished with a round of sc. Fastened off. Then just made the drawstring and the strap.
