Kathy, what a lovely trip down memory lane. I enjoyed the article immensely. My mother and grandmother were both avid "threadies" and I still have some of their work. Only my mother stepped over into the world of yarn to make afghans. Just noting how many of these afghan patterns were or probably were originally from "women's magazines" reminded me how appreciated those mags were to my mother especially. I have quite a collection of vintage crochet, handcraft and women's magazine dating back quite a ways and love to spend a rainy day just looking through them.
