Thanks everyone for all the kind comments. I have made a zillion afghans in the past, but this is my first granny afghan (besides a single, giant traditional granny square throw, which was my first crochet project way back. lol). I'm glad to have your approval on this one!

 

Oh yes, and the colors are even prettier in person...the yarn has a pretty sort of shine that just sets them off.

lol it is even so bad, that when I am in a city, and point out a garment to my husband he goes(not even looking at it by the way): "it must be purple"

Granny squares are not really that bad to stitch together....it is quite fun once you get the knack to do it.
