Lindsay Bed Doll

This is another doll i made for another neice. Again, there is no picture because I am blind. Feel free to use my pattern, but PLEASE don't take credit for my work!

 

LINDSAY BED DOLL

 

Materials: Worsted weight yarn, about 12 oz red & 4 oz black; 13

inch music box or Angel doll; 18 inches 1/2 inch black picot-edge

satin ribbon; 4 sets small silver hooks and eyes; tapestry needle;

G crochet hook.

Dress:

 

Bodice: Starting at neck edge, with black, ch 19.

 

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across: 18; ch 1,

turn.

 

Row 2: Sc in first 2 sc, 2 sc in each sc across to last 2 sc, sc in

last 2 sc: 32; ch 1, turn.

 

Row 3: Sc in each sc across; ch 1, turn.

 

Row 4: 2 Sc in first sc, * sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from

* across to last sc, sc in last sc: 48; ch 1, turn.

 

Row 5: Sc in each sc across; ch 1, turn.

 

Row 6: Working in back lps only, sc in first 7 sc, ch4, sk next 10

sc (for armhole), sc in next 14 sc, ch4, sk next 10 sc (for other

armhole), sc in last 7 sc; ch 1, turn.

 

Row 7: Sc in each sc and ch across: 36; ch 1, turn.

 

Row 8: Sc in each sc across; ch 1, turn.

 

Row 9: Sc in first 6 sc, sc next 2 sc together, sc in next 2 sc, *

sc next 2 sc together, sc in next 3 sc; rep from * twice more, sc

next 2 sc together, sc in next 2 sc, sc next 2 sc together, sc in

last 5 sc: 30; ch 1, turn.

 

Rows 10-12: Sc in each sc across; ch 1, turn. At end of Row 12,

fasten off.

 

Skirt:

 

Rnd 1: Join red with sl st in last sc, ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in

each dc across, join with sl st in top of beg ch 3: 60; ch 3.

 

Rnd 2: Dc in each dc around, join; ch 3.

 

Rnd 3: * Dc in next 4 dc, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around, join:

72; ch 3.

 

Rnd 4: Dc in each dc around, join; ch 3.

 

Rnd 5: * Dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around, join:

96; ch 3.

 

Rnd 6: Dc in each dc around, join; ch 3.

 

Rnd 7: * Dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around, join:

120; ch 3.

 

Rnd 8: Dc in each dc around, join; ch 3.

 

Rnd 9: * Dc in next 4 dc, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around, join:

144; ch 3.

 

Rnd 10: Dc in each dc around, join; ch 3.

 

Rnd 11: * Dc in next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around,

join: 168; ch 3.

 

Rnd 12: Dc in each dc around, join; ch 3.

Rnds 14 and 15: Dc in each dc around, join; ch 3.

Rnds 17 and 18: Dc in each dc around, join; ch 3.

 

Rnd 19: * Dc in next 4 dc, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around,

join: 294; ch 3.

 

Rnd 20: Working in back lps only, dc in each dc around, join; ch 3.

 

Rnd 21: (ruffle) Working in back lps only, * dc in next dc, 3 dc in

next dc; rep from * around, join; ch 3.

 

Rnd 22: Dc in each dc around, join. Fasten off.

 

Rnd 23: (bottom ruffle) Join black in last st worked; ch2, * sl st

in next st, ch2; rep from * around, join with sl st in first sl st.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

 

Top Ruffle: Working in rem lps of Rnd 19, rep Rnd 23.

 

Middle Ruffle: Join black with sl st in any front lp of Rnd 20;

ch2, * sk next lp, sl st in next lp, ch2; rep from * around, join

with sl st in first sl st. Fasten off and weave in ends.

 

Bodice & sleeve Ruffle: Working in rem front lps of Row 6 and

skipped sc of armholes, join red with sl st in first lp, * ch2, sl

st in next st; rep from * across, working in front lps of backs and

front and in both lps across armhole opening. Fasten off and weave

in ends.

 

Hat: With red, ch2.

 

Rnd 1: 6 Sc in 2nd ch from hook.

 

Rnd 2: 2 Sc in each sc around: 12.

 

Rnd 3: * Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around: 18.

 

 

Rnd 4: * Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around: 24.

 

Rnd 5: * Sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around: 30.

 

Rnd 6: * Sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around: 36.

 

Rnd 7: * Sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around: 42.

 

Rnds 8-12: Sc in each sc around. At end of Rnd 12, join with sl st

in back lp of first sc.

 

Rnd 13: Ch 1, working in back lps only, 2 sc in each sc around,

join: 84; ch 1.

 

Rnds 14-16: Sc in each sc around, join; ch 1.

 

Rnd 17: * Sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around,

join: 96. Fasten off and weave in ends.

 

Rnd 18: Join black with sl st in first sc, ch2, * sl st in next st,

ch2; rep from * around, join with sl st in first sl st. Fasten off.

 

Brim Ruffle: Join black with sl st in any unused lp of Rnd 12; ch2,

* sl st in next lp, ch2; rep from * around, join with sl st in

first sl st. Fasten off and weave in ends. Place hat on head. Tie

black ribbon around waist leaving long ends to fall over skirt.

Trim ends on an angle.
