I'm partial to Sitemeter - http://www.sitemeter.com/ - for its simplicity. Bravenet has way too many useless options to wade through when all you need is a hit counter.

I love Sitemeter. It's very easy to add to multiple pages, etc. and I like how you can either show your stats or hide them.

I have used bravenet since they started business.. You name it, I have had it on one web site or another... Their counters are great (so are their guest maps), sitemeters are good too though in fact I have both on my blog, I just like bravenet better but it could just be because I have used them for so long.

 

They way I see it, you can't go wrong with either!

I've been using http://www.statcounter.com. It doesn't have too many display options for your counter, but I really like all the background information I can get about who has visited my site: referring links, search terms, etc.
