Ordered New Steels~~They're Here

I finally got tired of my steel hooks losing their finish from my hands sweating or the finish chipping off. I was using Boye steels. I will continue to use them until my set of Susan Bates steels comes in.

 

Yesterday, I ordered a complete set of Bates steels from Frugal Knitting Haus. I can't wait to get my "real" hooks so my thread projects go smoother!! :cheer

 

If anyone wants some used Boye steels, let me know; I'll give them to you!

I noticed the other day that some of my Boye hooks were starting to look a little drab. Maybe I need to check out another line too.

I also prefer the Boye hooks over the Susan Bates I guess it's a matter of personal prefrence. Mine also have the used patina on them but that just proves they're loved and used.

I am not in need of any hooks at the moment so send them on to Vicki. I do suggest you try your Susan Bates though before you part with your Boyes.

I really prefer the Boye for my yarn hooks, but I haven't been happy with the Boyes for thread. I guess that's why I haven't done a lot with thread lately...I'm usually pretty easy going when it comes to my equipment, but not this time. Oh, well. Lesson learned.

My Susan Bates hooks are here, and I must say that I'm MUCH happier with them. Who knew?

 

Anyway, I'll be posting the Boyes in the Sale, Trade or Free forum after I hear back from mythunderbird.
