Lara's Heirloom Garter from Crochet Garden

I was thrilled Lisa published this pattern of the garter she made for her sister's wedding. My sister had no interest in the Between-Meal Centerpiece that I was working on, but she loved the garter when I showed her the picture.

 

I wove the ribbon in through the stitches rather than do the bows on the original pattern (http://www.crochetgarden.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=71&products_id=269).

 

I did not make the "toss garter" which is also included in the pattern as my sister does not want the garter toss. As this is an "heirloom" garter, her husband won't be able to toss this one even if wants to.

 

The charm is a Fleur-de-lis charm from www.artbeads.com (which, BTW, is a great site, the sterling silver charm was less than $1.50 and shipping is always free).
