My first sweater!

Here is my first sweater. It is a pattern from knitting pure and simple. It's pattern #9724 neck down pullover. The yarn is a wool blend by Ella Rae (I can't find the label from this yarn so I can't post a link) and the pattern yarn is by universal. I think the sweater came out OK. It has it's problems, but I think I will wear it. Now, I want to make this again and try not to duplicate the mistakes.

The color work looks good. Is that a fair isle technique you used?

No, it's not fair isle...the yarn does it by itself as you knit!

That sweater does look great, and the self stripping yarn does a great job of giving the fair isle look. I just got some of the Ella Rae the other day and thought that colors were so pretty. I do love this green that you used it's very nice.

The sweater looks great! And yes, it does look like Fair Isle. That yarn is so cool.

 

I recently bought some baby yarn by Bernat that is self patterning and it is AWESOME. Looks like you did a lot of fancy colorwork and all you do is just knit.
