Lined Purple Handbag with Coin Purse

[The Master Planner]

Here's pictures of a purse I made, to give as a gift for a friend. It's fully lined with a zipper closure. I don't own a sewing machine, so I had a dime for every time I poked myself in the finger with a needle, I'd at least have enough for a nice steak dinner. I departed from the pattern to resize it (my friend only wanted a small handbag) and to add an attached coin purse. Take my word, it's inside but my bumbling guy friend forgot to send that picture from his cell phone. Worked in Patons Classic Wool Merino.

Ought to try it sometime, the crocheted handbag took me only one ball of yarn and a mere evening to complete, even though I worked on it while surfing crochetville and waiting for the pages to load. Installing the lining and zipper properly was the real difficulty for me.

And the purse handles were five bucks a pair at JoAnns...
