Identifying a "hook/knitting item

Recommended Posts

:eek I found a hook/ come knitting item in an op shop I'd like osme one to tell me what it might be.I'll try hard to descibe it

The ridged metal bar is about 4 inches long....with ends of it that read "Aero" no other writing,no size stated on it,that can't be removed......directly under the bar is a loose stretchy wire attached....:think

I found it in a bin with other knitting needles whilst looking for crochet hooks.....

Can some one identify what it is please?

Thank you in advance:manyheart

Sounds like a stitch holder of some type. There are some that remind me a lot of perm rollers - makes me wonder if a knitter out there got desparate for a stitch holder and raided the bathroom cabinet ...

:cheerIs it a stitch holder, used when needing to hold stitches when knitting?

Does the stretchy bit fit onto the pointed end of the needle?

Aero is a brand name from way back.

Have fun.
