Annie's pattern for doily ghan??? Sunday

The basic doily pattern with out all the pretty ribbon roses would make a very nice doily ghan and would likely be between 36 and 48 inches if made in WW yarn.

 

Some have been looking for likely patterns for this purpose... there yah go :wlol

Darski, thanks so much for that! I had seen the pattern and didn't print it because I figued I'd never make it but never thought about using WW. Thanks again!! :)

LOL, when I saw that pattern this morning you are the first person I thought of! I said, Darski would make an afghan out of that! I would be really pretty! :yes

how much yarn would you need? An estimated guess and which hook would you use

 

I usually always have at least two pounders of white yarn (and pink and green) on hand so I don't really think about how much I would need when I start something like that. I'm also not great a guesstimating this either. :sigh

 

Personally, I would be using a 6mm as that is the hook that I like best these days.

thanks darski - i too looked at it and skimmed over it as i dont do thread but you have opened a whole new door for me - what an amazing idea!!! now when I look at thread patterns i will have a whole new take on them!!

i hears of it at a msn group i belong too and they appear to have all of annie attic daily patterns too!! so if you missed a day or lost a pattern you could go here.
