  1. Can I join in? I keep buying yarn and am not using it nearly as quickly. lol My family is threatening to ban me from going into stores that sell yarn if I don't start using some of it up....they don't care what I use it for, just use it. lol:crocheting
  2. Hi, I'm Jennifer. I'm from Indiana (I know my profile says the UK...was living there but have moved back to the US and just haven't changed it yet.) I've been crocheting for about 15 years. I try to find time every day to crochet but it doesn't always work out. lol I want to start visiting the Ville again on a regular basis to get more inspiration and help with stashbusting......I have far too many balls/skeins that are 1 or only partials that I need to find a project to just use them up. So....help me!!
  3. Are you still in Indiana? If so, where?
  4. Where is Columbus? I'm in Logansport (about an hour north of Indy).
  5. I've just pre-ordered this from Amazon over here in the UK! I've been waiting.....not so patiently for it to be available over here because my DS wants a sweater. If you'd seen the vest I made for him without a pattern, you'd see why I desperately need a nice pattern. Anyway, I can't wait for it to arrive....sometime after Jan 31.
  6. Hi Moggy, I'm in Harlow, Essex too! I'm 38 and have been crocheting for nearly 12 years. I'm American and have been in the UK for just over 7 years now. I'll crochet most anything but rarely use thread and can never finish crocheting toys when I start them....must to my DS disappointment as he's still waiting for me to finish his teddy bear from 3 years ago. Tracy.....finally another crocheter in Harlow!!! How long have you been here?
  7. Glad it was the right one. When I read your post I thought "I know I've seen that one but WHERE???" LOL Didn't take long to search it out and I wasn't giving up til I found it since I'd wanted to make one as well but didn't bookmark it last year. Please show pictures when you've finished yours.
  8. Is this it? http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=66407 Hope that helps.
  9. The pattern that The Virginia Hooker posted above is the pattern I used yesterday to make 2.....one in black and one in white. I'm using them as decorations in windows but the pattern is super easy and goes quick. I've taken photos and as soon as I can remember how to post them here, I'll put a couple pics up so you can see mine.
  10. Spooky! I was just coming here to ask the same question as my DS requested "armour" last night!! I've already made him the chainmail helmet pattern that is listed in this thread. Mine turned out a bit bigger than the pattern even though I followed it carefully. I LOVE that knitted one.....might have to try and work it out in crochet.
  11. Those are great!! I've often wondered if crocheting around a ponytail holder would help keep the bags in. I made one 7 years ago when I moved here and just used some acrylic yarn that my mother-in-law had laying around and I just looked at it this week and it's stretched so much it's nearly 2ft long!!! I made it up as I went along and just crocheted a long chain to weave through the top and bottom to "hold" the bags in. Not my best work but it still holds the bags. Is cotton better to use when crocheting a bag holder??
