Does This "Stitch" Have A Name?

I'm not even sure it's a stitch, but when you work into the bump of a chain, let's say doing a sc......into the bump....so it's created like a knitted raised stitch......is there a name for this?

or the "bump" on the back of the stitch which would be a camel (cuz is the "hump" in the sc st)

Nope...not a front/back post....and it's not the front/back loop either.

Yup...the bump. I find it a bit difficult to see on a sc or dc....but on the chain, if you were to turn the chain and work the sc, you'll be able to see the bump more clearly....

Someone wrote a book called Camel Crochet some years ago that uses that stitch.

I have the Camel Crochet booklet. Once in a while I work it in dc when I need something different. I like to design squares and camel stitches gives things texture.
