FO: My first adventure in Fair Isle Knitting...

I already made a post for this in the beginners knitting forum but I'm not sure if all the knitters are part of both forums so I thought I'd place it here too I know, I'm such a show-off

 

I completed my first Fair Isle FO today... a simple hat, knit flat then seamed together with mattress stitch along the back.

 

Here's me "modeling" it:

I think I could have gotten my stitches a little more even but its not too bad for my first try I think.

 

It was done in Vanna's Choice yarn... I didn't want to splurge for something that I could have possibly screwed up royally

Ohh, I love it! I think it looks great! My friend S is contemplating starting her first Fair Isle pattern, and although it sounds really hard to me, I love the look and am encouraging her to do it so I can watch and learn. Great job! Patty

That looks great! I love Fair Isle knitting. It adds a lot to a project.
