tunisian curling ?

Recommended Posts

I am making a graphgan using the tunisian hook and the top and bottom are curling on me. I am only about 15 rows into the gan so I was wondering if the curling will straighten out as I work up the afghan or will I have to add a edging to make the curling stop?

They do curl and I am not sure why. The best thing to do is put a nice single crochet border around it and that seems to help out. Also, use a larger afghan hook than specified in the pattern. Say if it calls for a h, try an I or J. Go up two or three sizes. That also seems to help.

Good luck.

Thanks for the advice but I am not using a pattern per say. I created a graph using PC stich stoftware. but next time I will try a bigger hook.

There were some hints, and links to more hints, here
