Hi everyone -

I am in the midst of doing several seraphinas for the upcoming Relay for Life in October - I have finally finished the first of 3 I have going - one is pink, the other black with pink tones, and this one that is blue striped! I have one in the car, one in the bedroom and one in the family room - talk about WIPS~ :( my hands are about falling off! Our booth theme is Angels of Hope - so I thought for the booth raffles we could raffle the "Angel Wing" Shawls (I prefer that over the "batwing" shape to describe this shawl!) and the proceeds will go for the American Cancer Society.

I am going to be including a shawl pin on them too - I have listed the link to look at those under the pic links.

It has been fun tho - but the pattern was confusing at points I am sending a special thanks to Sprtsbear for her patience and helpful advice, link to help and pic!:)

Okay here goes -

HI... What a beautiful shawl, and gesture your doing.

I've tried to make this shawl many times without success, but every time I see a picture and read a story about the shawl... I get re-energized.. and want to try again.

So, tonight.... I am gonna try again.. this will be my 5th attempt.

Again... thats for the inspiration and for being so generous with your craft.

Blessings to you!

Congratulations Shuttlebuggy. I knew you could do it.:clap It is not that hard once you get into the pattern. Yours is beautiful. Don't give up, all you have tried before. It took me 3 trys before I could get it done. Check the board for the illustration. It is very helpful.

Yes ~ I have had my fair share of struggling with the beast called breast cancer so if I can offer even some comfort to one person struggling with it or to a family member who is caregiving or supporting in some way - that makes me happy - plus the added benefit of the money raised for research and someday a cure!
